Cottage Paws Rescue is a 100% VOLUNTEER-based organization located in the beautiful Muskoka, Ontario region. Animals in their care are fostered in a home environment with our loving volunteers.  Each penny donated or fundraised by volunteers goes directly to the care of animals in rescue. Cottage Paws Rescue believes in community, respect and relationships.

Our adoption process is designed to ensure each animal is matched with a home suitable for their specific needs and energy level, a place they can be loved and cared for in every way that they need, a happy place to call their FOREVER HOME.

There are NO Perfect Pets. An animal is a lifetime commitment and requires love, understanding, patience and training, especially during their transition to a new home. Each animal is an individual and deserves commitment and effort from you. Loving a pet can be a rewarding experience with the right amount of attention and care - they certainly give you much more love in return than you can ever imagine. If you cannot commit 100% to your new pet - please do not adopt.

Join a network of amazing volunteers that believe in the power of community and relationships! After all, animal lovers make

great friends. Learn new skills, help spread the word about responsible pet ownership, find homes for animals in need and

most of all - MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCE in every life we touch.

Can't Foster an animal right now? There is so much more that we need help with!

  • Help with an event - or two - or TWENTY!

  • Help plan and organize events and fundraising

  • Help screen potential fosters / adopters

  • Transportation

  • Conduct home visits / reference checks

  • Walk, bath and play with dogs/cats/kittens/puppies!

  • Bake for bake sales and events

  • Craft things for fundraisers

  • ... and so much more!

  •

Volunteering can be an incredible thing! However, It’s important to have BALANCE in your life. We provide

ongoing support and communication with all of our volunteers and help you make a difference while attending

to your personal life and those who matter most to you.

Whether you volunteer an hour a week or three hours a day - every bit helps. Each animal we help would no

have had a chance without our Volunteers.
